Emmerdale airs Charity Dingle pregnancy twist in ITVX release

In an unexpected turn of events revealed in the August 14, 2025 edition of Emmerdale, Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) has been confirmed as pregnant, this time as a surrogate, shocking everyone just a few days after she believed the embryo transfer had not taken.

Overjoyed by my inability to carry a child on my own, I felt a surge of happiness when Grandma Charity stepped up and graciously agreed to become the surrogate for our little one.

However, when Charity tripped and subsequently found herself bleeding, she had no choice but to inform Sarah and her fiance, Jacob Gallagher (played by Joe-Warren Plant), that the treatment had failed.

Following Mackenzie Boyd, Charity’s husband (played by Lawrence Robb), granting his approval, her grandfather, Cain Dingle (portrayed by Jeff Hordley), proposed providing funds for their second attempt.

Cain mentioned that he wasn’t planning to tell his financially struggling wife, Moira (Natalie J Robb), right away, but considering her present difficulties, it could potentially lead to complications.

On the break of a fresh morning, Charity, Mack, Sarah, and Jacob are readying themselves to visit the clinic for their follow-up check-up. All four of them believe that there is no chance Charity could be pregnant.

But they’re all shocked when the consultant reveals that Charity is pregnant after all!

Afterward, an exhilarated Sarah announces her joyous news at The Woolpack, but there’s more to come later in the evening.
