Emmerdale airs double exit from the village for iconic couple in early ITVX release

Be aware: This article contains spoilers for the Emmerdale episode airing on Friday, November 28th at 7:30pm on ITV1. The episode is also available to stream now on ITVX.

After a dramatic week in the village, Aaron Dingle (played by Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (played by Ryan Hawley) have departed from Emmerdale.

It’s understandable that they need some time apart. Just yesterday, they were held hostage by Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill), who was desperately trying to get back together with Robert, the man he met in prison.

Robert repeatedly told Kev that they couldn’t be together, as he was in love with Aaron, and Kev didn’t handle the news well.

He looted a pawn shop and obtained a sword, which he then threatened to use in yesterday’s episode.

Honestly, the drama just kept unfolding! So, Robert ended up getting stabbed – not fatally, thankfully, just in the arm – and it was Dr. Cavanagh, the doctor who was, unbelievably, Robert’s getaway driver during the robbery, who happened to be there to help. It was supposed to be Aaron who got hit, but the sword actually struck Robert instead. Talk about a chaotic situation!

Police arrived at the apartment, but they didn’t know what was happening inside. They were actually there looking for Caleb Milligan, played by William Ash.

Kev was frightened, but when he realized the three people hadn’t called for help, he quietly left the village and disappeared into the sunset.

Today’s episode focused on the growing danger of a character’s return. Victoria Sugden was increasingly concerned for her brother’s safety, as they waited for the police to find Kev, fearing the delay could have deadly consequences.

Aaron agreed, and told Robert that they should head off and lay low for a bit.

When will they return, and will we ever see Kev again?

The door has been left firmly open, so there’s certainly opportunity!
