Please be aware that the following contains spoilers for the latest episode of Emmerdale, which aired today, Friday, October 24th, 2025, and is now available to watch on ITVX.
Emmerdale fans will see another significant turn of events for Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle after their recent breakup on Friday, October 24th.
On October 23rd, Robert decided to end his marriage to Kev Townsend (played by Chris Coghill) because he wanted to be with Aaron. However, Kev tragically suffered a heart attack shortly after.
When Aaron and Victoria Sugden found Robert at the hospital, Aaron was concerned by how upset he seemed, as Robert rarely showed emotion like that.
Robert confessed he used to be in love with Kev, and maybe still had some feelings, but he ultimately wanted to build a future with Aaron.
But when Aaron again challenged Robert to end things with Kev, Robert said he couldn’t do it.
Aaron left, and the ITV soap opera will continue on Friday with a scene showing Robert at Kev’s bedside in the hospital.
Vic eventually convinces Robert to talk to Aaron once more. Robert then reveals a bit about how he and Kev became close – Kev had protected him from attacks while they were both in prison.
The discussion didn’t change anything for ‘Robron,’ as Robert seems determined to remain with Kev for the rest of his life.
Aaron quickly heads to the Woolpack to feel better, but accidentally upsets Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) while he’s there.
Another Robert tries to intervene, but Aaron is already angry with him and quickly starts arguing, leading to a fierce fight.
Robert fiercely defends himself during their argument, and it seems like Aaron and he may not be able to repair their relationship after it’s over.
We’re not going to be so quick to write them off, though!
Next week, Aaron is encouraged to apologise to Vinny and to discuss what happened with Robert.
However, things get worse when Aaron realises that Robert has told Kev about his traumatic past!
Kev will then make a chilling threat to Aaron, but how will Robert react?
