Emmerdale airs shock request for Victoria Sugden in ITVX release

Since Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) can no longer bear children due to an emergency hysterectomy, her grandpa Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) proposes that they explore the option of surrogacy.

Instead of consulting nephew Aaron (Danny Miller) about surrogacy due to his prior experiences, Cain’s preoccupation with this topic causes him to overlook his sorrow for son Nate (Jurell Carter). Consequently, he makes unwise decisions when selecting an agency.

In the meantime, Sarah’s grandmother, Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins), recalls that Sarah has other family members living in the village. She decides to pay a visit to Victoria, suggesting that the chef might serve as a surrogate for Sarah’s relative.

Charity makes every effort to persuade Vic, yet it’s evident that the profound nature of the request has left her shaken.

Throughout the progression of the week, it becomes clear that Vic’s half-brother, Robert (portrayed by Ryan Hawley), grows enraged upon learning about the situation she finds herself in. It isn’t until Robert makes an appearance to challenge Charity that Sarah first learns about this upsetting turn of events.

It appears that Vic’s response is likely predictable since Charity plans to act as a surrogate for Sarah at a later time.

Tensions are rising as Charles finds himself at odds with his spouse, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), over an unresolved issue.

Regarding the Sugden family line, could Sarah’s return to her father’s siblings have any implications for their future?
