It’s not looking great for Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) on Emmerdale.
Last Thursday, on the 21st of August, Charity’s (Emma Atkins) partner experienced a harrowing struggle for life against the malevolent John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).
Towards the close of the episode, Mack was noticeably huddled beneath John, having sustained an arrow wound in his chest, while the antagonist readied themselves to strike him with a large stone.
Although it seemed the violent incident occurred out of view, no sighting of Mack was made since then, only scattered bloody evidence suggesting that Mack might have met a tragic end.
As a devoted cinephile, I couldn’t help but feel on edge after Mack’s disappearance remained unresolved in previous episodes of Emmerdale. However, my suspense was eased somewhat during Friday’s episode as the series began to unravel some intriguing clues about what happened to our missing character.
Charity reached out to her partner through Aaron (Danny Miller), as she needed assistance locating him.
Was it obvious that Aaron approached John, who was organizing his vehicle, and saw the bloodstains that John was attempting to remove – does this seem like a clue? Can John keep up with the deception?
Later on, Charity received a text that changed everything, leaving her devastated. What did it say?
Is Mack dead?
