Emmerdale confirms shock reunion for Rhona Goskirk ahead of next week’s flashback episodes

It has been confirmed who the mystery figure contacting Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) is in Emmerdale.

For the past few weeks, Rhona in the ITV soap has been getting strange messages and calls. The truth behind who killed Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) will finally be revealed during a special week of flashback episodes.

The mystery surrounding the person who approached Rhona has been solved: it’s revealed to be Graham Foster, her former partner who was believed to be dead. Flashbacks will show this encounter from the day Ray died, with actor Andrew Scarborough reprising his role.

Next Tuesday, January 20th, 2026, an Emmerdale episode will feature Rhona being unexpectedly grabbed from behind while doing the dishes. A hooded figure covers her mouth, but she quickly turns around to discover it’s Graham.

Rhona was completely shocked to discover Graham was alive, especially since he was believed to have been murdered in a mystery back in 2020.

It was eventually discovered that Rhona’s abusive ex-husband, Pierce Harris, was responsible for Graham’s death. Pierce had repeatedly fought with Graham and ultimately killed him, first by running him over and then by pushing him off a cliff.

Now that Rhona has learned Graham is alive, what will she do? And were she and Graham involved in Ray’s death?

Viewers were shocked to discover Graham was still alive during the special ‘Corriedale’ crossover event on ITV. He appeared driving a van, and inside, a woman named Olivia Frances Brown was tied up and unable to speak.

After the massive car crash, a woman managed to slip away while Graham examined the damage. He briefly stayed with his foster son, Joe Tate, at the hospital, but then left. Joe did see Graham before he went, though.

Joe has never fully accepted Graham’s death, and recently, on Friday, he decided to hire a private investigator to look into what really happened.

Will Joe also find out what’s really going on? And how will Graham’s ex-wife, Kim Tate, react?

Producer Laura Shaw recently told the press that a character’s return in 2026 will significantly impact Kim and Rhona. Kim has a complicated relationship with him, filled with both love and animosity, and Rhona was planning to leave with him.

Shaw announced that Graham will finally share the full story of what occurred six years ago when everyone thought he had died. However, it remains to be seen if Joe can forgive Graham, a father figure to him, for letting him think he was gone.

The woman from Corriedale was eventually identified as Jodie Ramsey, who turned out to be Shona Platt’s (Julia Goulding) half-sister, after years of being separated.

So, just what connects Jodie and Graham?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1. Stream on ITVX.
