Attention: Today’s (September 3, 2025) episode of Emmerdale has spoilers. You can watch it now on ITVX.
In this week’s Emmerdale, airing on September 3, 2025, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) finds himself in a dangerous situation due to the devious plotting of his husband John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), with some distressing events setting the stage for potential harm.
By the conclusion of the episode on September 2nd, John had abandoned Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), who was left isolated in the subterranean shelter, with John indicating that he would not return.
Following Mack revealing to John that Aaron was involved romantically with Robert Sugden, played by Ryan Hawley, he suggested that the depth of affection between Aaron and Robert was insurmountable for John, making it impossible for him to compete in their relationship.
John harbored doubts about Mack’s honesty. However, matters could worsen when John and Aaron make their way back to the village to see Chas Dingle, played by Lucy Pargeter.

Chas is upset when Aaron reveals his and John’s plans to move to John’s childhood home.
Aaron downplays his concerns about John’s suspicious behaviour, but Chas senses something is off.
When John learns that Mack’s spouse, Emma Atkins (Charity Dingle), is contemplating filing a missing person report against him, he becomes alarmed and hurriedly devises a reason to depart, leaving Aaron puzzled by the turn of events.
John returns to the bunker after all, and makes a new plan to throw Charity off the scent.
It seems Mack might have sent a voice note to her later at John’s prompting or insistence.
Stepping into the fray of my latest cinematic adventure, I learned that my friend Aaron has relocated permanently. With a heavy heart and a burning curiosity, I found myself knocking on the door of his empty nest. Alone in this bittersweet moment, Aaron was packing up his life, piece by piece, as he prepared for the next chapter.
When Robert asserts that Aaron seems to be erring and leans in for a kiss, how might the ambiguous Aaron react?
Upon my return to the humble cottage, I find John seemingly on edge – as if harboring some secret that’s weighing heavily upon him. Little do I know, he thinks he’s got solid grounds for a sinister move, but here I am, blissfully unaware of the looming peril lurking around the corner.
But what has led John to decide to drug Aaron?
In this latest edition, I stumbled upon some unexpected twists that might take you by surprise. Catch the whole tale right now on ITVX, or tune in to ITV1 at 7:30 PM.
On the 4th of September, I found myself in possession of a bottle of whiskey that had been infused by my friend John. To my surprise, Aaron ended up taking more than one sip from it throughout the day.
What is John’s plan here, and will Aaron be okay?
