Emmerdale’s Joe Tate left furious by surprising Kim discovery in early ITVX release

Graham Foster has been working for weeks to make Joe Tate doubt his step-grandmother, Kim, and it looks like he’s finally discovered something that could ruin her reputation in Emmerdale.

Just a few days ago, Kim and Graham unexpectedly gave in to their attraction and kissed. However, the next day, Graham made it clear he wasn’t interested in a relationship with Kim, telling Joe he was still interested in his ex, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry).

Kim told her close friend Lydia that she’d found several missed calls and texts from Rhona on Graham’s phone, which made her question whether she’d made a mistake by getting involved with him.

With that in mind, the battle continues, and he’s back to his old tricks.

I just watched the latest episode, and it was pretty heavy. Kim went to see Lydia at Wishing Well Cottage and confessed she’s determined to not let Graham anywhere near her heart. She’s really beating herself up about what happened with him and is desperate to move on and put it all behind her. It’s clear she’s trying to protect herself, even if it means closing herself off.

Meanwhile, at Home Farm, trouble was brewing.

Joe was tired of Graham always trying to make Kim seem like the villain. Despite a difficult history, they’d resolved their differences and were now managing to live together peacefully.

Graham discovered Kim’s will hidden in her safe. It revealed that her money would be split evenly among her grandchildren, and her valuable estate would go to the Dingles.

This completely went against Joe’s expectations. He’d always assumed he would inherit Home Farm, and he was understandably upset.

As a longtime follower of the case, I recall Kim updating her will back in December, not long after that terrible accident at her estate. She herself was caught in a trap, and tragically, her horse, Ice, was killed in the process. It was a really shocking event, and clearly impacted her decisions about her estate.

While she was recovering in the hospital, Joe decided to have the animal put down. Kim was very upset and changed the legal document to name Lydia as the recipient. Unbeknownst to her, she had actually arranged the unlawful hunt and was therefore the one at fault.

It was really heartwarming to see those women mend things between them. Kim especially made it clear she still wanted her friend to eventually have her dream mansion – it was a genuinely sweet moment, showing she hadn’t changed her feelings at all.

At the end of the episode, she invited Lydia and her husband Sam (James Hooton) over for drinks, which made Joe very angry.

Will this spur Joe on to target the Dingles again?
