Entergram and KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO have revealed Virtual Ties: Isekaijoucho Musoukyoku, a new game where you train virtual idols. It’s launching on PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC (via Steam) on March 19, 2026, and will be available in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
The digital version of the game will cost 3,600 yen (3,960 yen with tax) in Japan. The standard physical edition for Nintendo Switch is priced at 4,500 yen (4,950 yen with tax). A limited physical edition, available for both Switch and PC (as a Steam download code), will cost 9,000 yen (9,900 yen with tax).
Virtual Ties: Isekaijoucho Musoukyoku is based on the idea behind project Canvas: Isekaijoucho Ikusei Keikaku, a free-to-play adventure game initially released on Steam as an April Fools’ Day joke in 2024.
The game centers around Yuu Kirishima and his childhood friend, Sekai Minase. Sekai is brought to life as the virtual idol Isekaijoucho – she was involved in the game’s development and also provides its main voice acting. Players work to make Isekaijoucho a popular virtual idol by improving her skills in areas like singing, dancing, and public speaking, and by gaining followers through live streams.
