The Epic Games Store is offering a free action RPG, but only for the next 24 hours! If you play games on PC, the Epic Games Store is worth checking out – they regularly give away free titles. While Steam is the most popular platform, Epic Games tries to attract players with great deals and freebies. They give away free games every month, and sometimes they’re big hits, like Grand Theft Auto V. Just this month, Hogwarts Legacy was available to download for free for about a week.
Getting these free games is a fantastic way to build up your collection, even if you don’t have time to play them all right away. Epic Games has been especially giving this month, offering a free game every day for most of December. While not every game is a huge hit like Hogwarts Legacy, they’re all enjoyable, and you really can’t beat the price – free! The newest free game is another worthwhile addition to your library, particularly if you haven’t tried it before.
Epic Games Gives Away Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for Free
Until 11 AM Eastern Time on December 24th, the Epic Games Store is offering Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for free. This popular action RPG, released in 2019, is heavily inspired by the classic Castlevania games. It was created by Koji Igarashi, a key developer of the Castlevania series, and was originally funded by fans through a Kickstarter campaign in 2015.
The game developers only needed $500,000 to finish development, but fans overwhelmingly supported them, pledging an incredible $5,545,991 on the first day of the crowdfunding campaign. This extra funding allowed the team to expand Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night with more content and even bring in well-known voice actor David Hayter for a role in the game.
Critics loved Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night when it first came out, and a sequel, Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, is planned for 2026. That makes the current free offering on the Epic Games Store a great way to get ready for the next installment – or even find a new game you enjoy if you haven’t played this style of 2.5D game before. It’s free, so it’s definitely worth checking out while it’s available!
