Epic Games Store has released its last free games for March 2026. Overall, March wasn’t a particularly strong month for free games on the platform. While titles like Turnip Boy Robs a Bank and Cozy Grove were enjoyable, many of the other free games were relatively obscure. The latest giveaways don’t improve things, continuing the trend of less well-known titles.
From March 26th to April 2nd, Epic Games Store users can get both Havendock and Hyper Echelon for free. Havendock is the bigger title this week – it officially launched less than a year ago and normally costs $20. In Havendock, you build a peaceful island community for castaways. If you like city-building or management games, it’s worth checking out!
Hyper Echelon is an indie game that feels like a classic shoot ’em up. Players battle waves of enemies in fast-paced, bullet-filled levels. It’s a great value too, usually costing just $13, and offers a lot of gameplay that will keep you busy for hours.
If you’re curious about Havendock and Hyper Echelon and want to see if they’re your kind of games, I’ve included the official trailers and descriptions below. Check them out and let me know what you think!
Havendock
Havendock is a relaxing town-building game set on the ocean. You’ll start by creating a small settlement, attracting new residents, and gathering resources. Explore the surrounding islands and guide your town’s growth from a simple beginning to a modern, advanced society.
Design a unique character and explore a world where you gather materials from drifting wreckage. Construct buildings to create a sustainable base, and customize your settlement to your liking, building at your own speed.
Hyper Echelon
The Royal Space Force is calling all pilots! A dangerous alien race called the EXODON is causing trouble in the Cyan Galaxy. Our fleet is facing overwhelming odds and can’t win a direct battle. Your skill and strategy are crucial – you’ll need to fight through waves of enemies and defeat their commanders in your powerful starfighter, the Titan. It’s a tough fight, but the galaxy depends on you!
Hyper Echelon blends the excitement of classic arcade games with fast-paced, strategic shooting. It’s a challenging game for experienced players, but also offers plenty of opportunities for newcomers to learn and enjoy.
