Every Crossover in Deadpool/Batman, Ranked

For almost twenty years, Marvel and DC Comics kept their universes separate, but now they’re finally teaming up! The new crossover, *Deadpool/Batman*, is a dream come true. While the unlikely duo of Deadpool and Batman reluctantly join forces, this special issue also features six other exciting team-ups between beloved characters from both companies. It’s a thoroughly enjoyable read, and hopefully just the first of many, leaving fans wondering: which crossover pairing shined the brightest?

Everyone has different tastes, so this isn’t about my personal favorites. Instead, we’re going to rank these crossover specials based on how well they fulfill their core idea and how effectively they highlight the unique relationship between the characters involved. Ultimately, crossovers are fun because they let us see familiar characters interact with new faces – people they’d likely either connect with or clash against. With that in mind, let’s dive into ranking all the crossovers, starting with *Deadpool/Batman*.

7) Wolverine/Batman

Okay, so the Batman vs. Wolverine fight drawn and written by Frank Miller? It was… a lot. I actually had to read it twice to figure out what was going on! It just jumps right into them beating each other up and trading these really detailed, classic Frank Miller insults. If you’re already a fan of his more recent stuff, you might enjoy it, but honestly, it felt a little thin. It didn’t really live up to the excitement I expected from a fight between two comic book icons. It’s okay, I guess, but it’s definitely confusing on the first read.

6) Logo

Our sixth entry is another crossover, combining Wolverine and Lobo, but don’t let its position on the list make you think it’s not good. It’s a really fun read, blending the personalities of both characters perfectly into someone who truly feels like a mix of the two. And who could dislike someone who calls himself a ‘Canucklezian’? The idea of combining their logos into a single character works brilliantly, and my only wish is that we’d gotten to see more of this character – the story was only three pages long. Plus, it featured the Thanoseidcopter, which instantly makes it amazing!

5) Rocket Racoon/Green Lantern

As the title, “Rocket Has a Green Lantern Ring Now,” suggests, this comic is exactly what it sounds like! When the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Green Lantern Corps team up for a cultural exchange, Hal Jordan and Rocket Raccoon switch sides for a few days – with predictably hilarious results. Rocket quickly causes trouble, and the Green Lanterns want him off their team ASAP. But things get really chaotic when Hal stumbles upon the Infinity Gauntlet and transforms into Parallax, leading to a surprisingly funny conclusion that playfully pokes fun at the character. This comic successfully uses the characters’ established personalities and backstory to create a truly humorous experience.

4) Jeff/Krypto

A team-up between Jeff the Land Shark and Krypto the Super-Dog needed to be undeniably adorable, and this comic delivers perfectly. It features a charming volleyball match in the Arctic between these two lovable characters. With beautiful, cartoon-style art by Gurihiru, it’s simply joyful to watch them play, and the ending is fantastic. This comic perfectly captures the innocent fun of childhood friendship and warm summer days – exactly the feeling you want from a super-pet comic!

3) Daredevil/Green Arrow

When Daredevil and Green Arrow unexpectedly cross paths in Hell’s Kitchen and end up battling each other’s ninja enemies, the result is incredible. The fight scenes are fantastic, and it’s fascinating to see Daredevil challenged like never before. More than just action, the story perfectly captures the distinct personalities of both heroes, highlighting their witty back-and-forth, shared internal struggles, and surprising similarities. The creative use of Jack Murdock’s boxing glove as an arrow component is a brilliant touch, and the final scene of them heading out for drinks and conversation left me wanting a whole series dedicated to their dynamic. It’s a perfect ten out of ten.

2) Deadpool/Batman

This team-up is easily one of the best single issues featuring either character in a long time. Deadpool and Batman’s very different personalities surprisingly work brilliantly together – both characters feel authentic and have a strong presence. It’s incredibly fun to read, with Deadpool delivering his signature witty humor, often directed at Batman, but without overshadowing the Dark Knight. The jokes feel playful and affectionate, which is perfect for a crossover between such iconic characters. The relationship between Batman, Joker, and Deadpool – with Deadpool acting as a bridge between them – is fantastic, and it leaves you wanting to see more of this pairing in the future. Truly one of the best.

1) Captain America/Wonder Woman

The team-up between Captain America and Wonder Woman is, in my opinion, the most successful crossover because it truly explores what makes each character tick and how they could inspire each other. Both heroes represent hope born from a dark time – World War II – and are fundamentally dedicated to justice. Even when facing personal struggles, they prioritize their larger purpose. It’s incredibly touching to see them support each other through difficult moments, and it’s a powerful reminder that we all have the potential to grow and improve. This story offered a surprisingly insightful look into their characters, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
