Every Major Marvel & DC Reveal From NYCC 2025

New York Comic Con once again thrilled superhero fans with a look at what’s coming from Marvel and DC. The event featured exclusive trailers, casting surprises, and confirmations about future movies and shows. Marvel highlighted how its Disney+ series are all connected, sharing release dates and sneak peeks. Meanwhile, DC and Warner Bros. Animation generated buzz with plans to reimagine popular stories in fresh and exciting ways.

There’s a constant flow of new superhero movies and shows coming out, meaning fans will have plenty to watch for the next few years. Recent announcements included the return of beloved characters and the exciting news that some classic comic book stories are finally being adapted for the screen.

1) Batman’s New Series Bat-Fam Got a Trailer

Prime Video has released the first trailer for its upcoming animated series, *BAT-FAM*, and announced all 10 episodes will be available starting November 10th. The show is a continuation of the movie *Merry Little Batman* and centers on Batman (voiced by Luke Wilson), Alfred (voiced by James Cromwell), and Damian Wayne (voiced by Yonas Kibreab) as they turn Wayne Manor into a unique family home. Joining them are Alfred’s lively grandniece, Alicia Pennyworth (voiced by London Hughes), and a group of former super-villains hoping for a new life, like Man-Bat (voiced by Bobby Moynihan) and Volcana (voiced by Haley Tju). Ra’s al Ghul (voiced by Michael Benyaer), Damian’s grandfather, will also be a frequent character. The series will also feature appearances from other well-known Gotham villains, including Killer Croc, Solomon Grundy, and Mad Hatter, with guest voices provided by Kevin Michael Richardson and Diedrich Bader.

2) ā€œKnightfallā€ Is Getting the Movie Treatment It Deserves

Warner Bros. Animation and DC are creating a new animated movie series based on the classic 1990s Batman comic book storyline, ā€œKnightfall.ā€ The story will be told in multiple parts, with the first film, *Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall*, set to release in 2026 and currently in production. The movie focuses on the villain Bane, who unleashes Batman’s enemies from Arkham Asylum, pushing Batman to his limits both physically and mentally. Jeff Wamester is directing, and Jeremy Adams is writing the film—both have worked on previous DC animated movies. This is the first time the famous ā€œKnightfallā€ story has been directly adapted into an animated feature, and the voice cast has yet to be revealed.

3) Wonder Man Got a Trailer (And a New Release Date)

As a huge Marvel fan, I was really excited to finally see the first trailer for their new Disney+ series, *Wonder Man*! They’ve pushed the premiere date back a bit, but it’s now set for January 27, 2026. The show stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, an actor who’s not really finding success and gets unexpectedly pulled into the superhero world. What’s really interesting is that it sounds like a satire of Hollywood itself, and even tackles the idea that we might be getting a little tired of superhero stories. The plot revolves around Simon auditioning for a remake of a *Wonder Man* movie, and he ends up competing with Ben Kingsley, who’s returning as Trevor Slattery! We’ll also see Demetrius Grosse as Simon’s brother, who comic fans will recognize as the Grim Reaper. It’s being co-created by Andrew Guest and Destin Daniel Cretton, who’s directing the first episode. This series is part of the ‘Marvel Spotlight’ banner, so it’s meant to be a standalone story, which is cool.

4) Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Has a Release Window (And More Daredevil)

The second season of *Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man* is coming to Disney+ in fall 2026, Marvel Animation announced. A preview shown at a recent event gave fans a look at what’s to come, including the debut of Gwen Stacy and the arrival of Venom. The footage showed Peter Parker (voiced by Hudson Thames) exploring Oscorp, finding a mysterious black substance, and meeting Norman and Harry Osborn. Daredevil will also return, with Charlie Cox once again providing the voice for the character, who will be sporting his iconic red suit. Expect to see familiar villains like Doctor Octopus, Chameleon, and Scorpion as well.

5) Foggy Is Returning for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2

A major announcement at New York Comic Con revealed that Elden Henson will reprise his role as Foggy Nelson in the second season of *Daredevil: Born Again*, even though his character seemingly died in the first episode of season one. The new season’s first trailer, which debuted footage from March 2026, showed Foggy appearing in flashbacks. The trailer also gave fans their first glimpse of Krysten Ritter returning as Jessica Jones, interacting with Matt Murdock (played by Charlie Cox) and impressively taking down an attacker with a metal tray. The footage hinted at a New York City controlled by the strict rule of Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) and confirmed that Matt and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) will be reconnecting. Marvel’s Brad Winderbaum also stated that the season will directly lead into the events of the upcoming movie *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*.

6) X-Men ’97 Season 3 Is Happening (And Season 2 Has a Release Window)

Great news for fans of *X-Men ’97*! Marvel Animation has confirmed the show will return for a third season, and they plan to release new seasons every year. Season two is set to premiere on Disney+ in the summer of 2026. The new season will bring back the villain Apocalypse and show the X-Men spread across different time periods after the events of the first season. For example, Rogue and Professor X will find themselves in Ancient Egypt in 3000 B.C., facing off against Apocalypse before he gains his full power. Cyclops and Jean Grey, meanwhile, will travel to the far future, in 3960 A.D., alongside their now-teenage son, Nathan Summers. Original creators Eric and Julia Lewald, and director Larry Houston, are also joining the production as executive producers.

7) Vision Quest Will Feature Tommy (Plus a Human Ultron)

The first look at the new Disney+ series *Vision Quest* has revealed some surprising returns and story details. James Spader will be back as the villain Ultron, but this time in a human form. T’Nia Miller will play Jocasta, an android created by Ultron as a companion. We’ll also see human versions of Tony Stark’s AI assistants: James D’Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., and Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H. Ruaridh Mollica will star as a grown-up Tommy Maximoff, the super-fast son of Vision and Wanda. The series, set to premiere in 2026, will focus on Paul Bettany’s White Vision as he grapples with the memories of the original Vision, but without the same feelings. *Vision Quest* is intended to be the concluding part of a story arc that began with *WandaVision* and continued in *Agatha All Along*.
