April is ending, which means new shows and movies are coming to streaming services! Both subscription services and free options like Pluto TV are adding new content next month. Pluto TV has some particularly good additions coming, especially for TV fans.
Starting in May, Pluto TV will add every episode of both Arrow and The 100, bringing them back to streaming after they left Netflix last year. On May 1st, all four seasons of Battlestar Galactica, plus its pilot miniseries and two movies, will also become available. The 100 is a popular drama set in a post-apocalyptic future. It tells the story of a group of young people who are sent back to Earth almost 100 years after a nuclear war destroyed much of the planet. The show ran for seven seasons, totaling 100 episodes.
Arrow is the TV show that started the popular ‘Arrowverse’ franchise. It tells the story of Oliver Queen, who goes from a wealthy socialite to a masked crime fighter protecting his city, Star City. The show ran for eight seasons and a total of 170 episodes.
Battlestar Galactica is a thrilling science fiction series—a reimagining of the original about the last humans searching for a new planet after a devastating robot attack. The complete collection includes four seasons with 74 episodes, a pilot miniseries, and two movies.
Hart of Dixie is a charming and funny show about a doctor from New York who finds herself practicing medicine in a close-knit small town in Alabama. It ran for four seasons, with a total of 76 episodes.
I absolutely loved My Wife & Kids! It’s one of those classic family sitcoms, and Damon Wayans was hilarious as the dad. It ran for five seasons – a total of 123 episodes – and I still enjoy rewatching it whenever I get the chance. It really captured what it was like to be part of a modern family.
