Exes Danielle Fishel & Lance Bass Recreate Prom Photo 27 Years Later

Danielle Fishelnever said bye bye bye to her old prom dress.

You won’t believe this! I was so thrilled to see Danielle Fishel recreate her prom photo with Lance Bass! It’s been almost thirty years since those two were high school sweethearts, and it was such a sweet, nostalgic moment. Honestly, it just goes to show you can always revisit happy memories with people from your past.

She recently revisited her 1999 prom dress and, with a little tailoring and encouragement, managed to fit back into it. Sharing a video on Instagram on April 21st, she showed off the white matching set, joking that while the dress mostly fit, some of her original curves had changed over the years.

Bass seemed to have gotten a new suit for the reunion, but he wore the same corsage – a small flower pinned to his lapel – that he’d worn to his prom.

I absolutely loved seeing Justin and Jessica recreate that iconic photo! It’s the same pose – him with his hands just above her waist – but they updated it for Instagram. His caption was perfect, saying, “Some things change… and some things stay respectfully still hovering.” It’s such a sweet nod to their history and how much they still care for each other.

Despite being high school sweethearts, singer Aaron Carter came out as gay in 2006. He and his ex-girlfriend, Lindsay Pearl Bass, recently shared the story of how he told Pod Meets World host Danielle Fishel about his sexuality.

During a June 2020 episode of Lance Bass’ podcast, The Daily POPCast, Fishel remembered a conversation they had around the time of his public coming out. She said he pulled her aside at a Halloween party he hosted and confided in her. Fishel recalled simply telling him, ‘Lance, it’s totally okay,’ and that they shared a hug. She wondered if he remembered the moment.

Since then, both Lance and Danielle have found love and gotten married. Lance married Michael Turchin in 2014, and Danielle married Jensen Karp in 2018.

Despite splitting up just two weeks after their memorable prom night, they remained friends over the years and even considered making a movie about their brief relationship.

Okay, so listen, this prom story had to be a movie. Seriously! I think so many of us can totally see ourselves in it. For a lot of people in the LGBTQ+ community, prom wasn’t this perfect night – it was the night they realized things needed to change. It was a huge turning point, you know? For me, it was like… the very first crack in the wall, the thing that made me start to think, ‘Okay, I need to accept who I am.’ It took a long time after that, obviously, but that night? That was where it all began.

Now that these ’90s stars are reminiscing about their past relationship, let’s take a look at some other celebrity exes who managed to stay friends.

They are definitely not getting back together. However, with all the recent interactions – birthday celebrations, affectionate hugs, and even playfully acting out a romantic scene during the virtual reading of Fast Times at Ridgemont High – it feels like they’re just teasing everyone who hoped they’d reconcile.

Sarah proved she’s confident and playful when she appeared on her ex-husband Jimmy’s talk show. She was there to promote her new series, I Love You, America, and playfully teased him about his wife, Molly Kimmel, describing her as ‘cute,’ ‘bright,’ and ‘funny.’ Joking about the difference between them, Sarah quipped, ‘It’s not fair! She gets the updated, more aware Jimmy. I only got the Jimmy from The Man Show. ‘

Honestly, some people seemed more upset about this relationship ending than the people involved! When Anna—who is now married to Michael Barrett—found out Chris Pratt was marrying Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019, she actually offered to perform the ceremony. She even sent a gift when their daughter, Lyla, was born in August 2020. A source told TopMob News that Anna was really happy for her son, Jack, to have a little sister and that she was very supportive of the new family.

I’ve always been fascinated by Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet’s relationship! They’ve described themselves as ‘best friends,’ and honestly, it really shows. Even after their divorce, they still feel like family – they really are one big, happy unit. It’s so lovely to see, especially considering Lisa later married Jason Momoa and they eventually split. Lenny has said it’s a beautiful example of how things can work, and I completely agree – it’s inspiring!

Since the Dancing With the Stars co-host and his wife, a former hockey player, separated in 2020, they’ve consistently shown everyone they remain friendly.

“We love each other,” she said. “That’s it.”

Even years after The Office ended in 2013, the chemistry between its stars still makes fans root for them as a couple. Mindy Kaling admitted she understands why, saying that if she were a viewer, she’d feel the same way. In a 2019 interview with Good Housekeeping, she explained that B.J. Novak is more like family than just a friend, which is why she chose him to be a godparent to her children.

Oh my gosh, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore? They’re the example of how to do a divorce right! Seriously, it’s amazing. And their daughters – Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout – are so lucky! It didn’t even surprise me they decided to quarantine together in Idaho, it just felt…right. They’re just that close! I bet they had the best quarantine dance parties ever, honestly!

Even four years after their 2014 split, Jennifer Lopez still spoke highly of her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, the father of her twins, Max and Emme. He consistently told her she was a talented singer and encouraged her not to listen to anyone who said otherwise. Lopez greatly respected him, considering him one of the greatest singers ever.

Despite facing personal challenges, the actress remains supportive of her ex-husband and former Scream colleague. Eight years after their 2010 divorce, she described it as a relatively amicable split while appearing on Running Wild With Bear Grylls. They’ve successfully co-parented their daughter, Coco, and maintain a good relationship.

Although their relationship ended in 2007, they still had great chemistry on screen when they starred together in the 2011 film Bad Teacher.

Although the actors had a difficult time immediately following their 2013 separation, they’ve now reached a point where they can vacation together as a group. The Twilight star shared with LaPalme Magazine that a 2017 trip to Cancun included his ex-wife’s husband, Garth, as well as Dave Abrams, Peter’s fiancée Lily Anne Harrison, and their three daughters, Luca, Lola, and Fiona.
