The long-awaited moment has arrived – the official Fallout season 2 launch date has been confirmed! Now, let’s patiently count down the days until its release.
The announcement was unveiled during an exclusive first trailer screening at Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live event. Johnathon Nolan, Geneva Robertson-Dworet (both serving as executive producers), along with actors Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten, appeared on stage to reveal the exciting new details.
In a more simplified and conversational manner, Walton Goggins found season 2 absolutely fantastic, and he thought it surpassed season 1 significantly, like a splash beyond all bounds.
And as for the date, Fallout season 2 is coming to Prime 17th December!
In the trailer, Lucy MacLean and The Ghoul are depicted journeying through the desolate Wasteland towards New Vegas, a city known for its mysterious figure, Robert Edwin House. Lucy is on a quest to find her father, Hank MacLean, who is played by Kyle MacLachlan.
We’ve included it for your viewing pleasure just below!
In addition to exploring the Wasteland in 2296, there are numerous flashbacks to events before the war, including Cooper Howard’s visit to the New Vegas strip where he encounters Mr. House. Remarkably, Mr. House correctly identifies Cooper as a killer, although this realization may not be self-evident to Cooper himself.
Additionally, the trailer hints at significant actions by The Brotherhood of Steel, likely within the vicinity of New Vegas. Their renowned Vertibird aircraft and airships can be seen transporting armored soldiers to join the battle.
In the year 2010, New Vegas made its debut in Obsidian Entertainment’s Fallout: New Vegas game, where players take on the role of The Courier, a character tasked with delivering the Platinum Chip to Mr House. However, events transpired that led to an interception before this delivery could be completed.
Throughout the course of the game, you encounter the Mojave Branch of Brotherhood of Steel, whose future hinges on your decisions. It’ll be intriguing to see if they reappear in future installments. The TopMob Gaming crew has delved into possible ways the series could tackle the game’s multiple endings.
In the game, another group you’ll encounter is Caesar’s Legion, a fearsome alliance of ex-tribes that imposed their law across the wasteland, mimicking the structure of the ancient Roman Empire. Their distinctive attire, reminiscent of American football gear, is prominently displayed in the trailer.
Unfortunately, we don’t have much time left to see how the showrunners handle the tricky task of avoiding disappointing the game enthusiasts. Before you know it, it will be “Fallout” themed Christmas!
