Fans of the Fallout video game series think they recognize a well-known character – either by their appearance or voice – in the recently released trailer for the second season of the Amazon Prime Video show.
Fans believe they’ve spotted an unconfirmed actor for Fallout season 2 – someone familiar to players of the original 1997 video game that started it all.
Okay, so in the new trailer, around the 1 minute and 10 second mark, there’s this really intriguing voice talking directly to Walton Goggins’ character, The Ghoul. It’s super mysterious and makes me wonder what’s going on!
The unseen speaker adds, ominously: “You’re going to need friends. There’s a war coming…”
The voice sounds altered, possibly with a filter, and viewers are already speculating about who’s been added to the cast alongside Ella Purnell.
Who does that mysterious voice belong to? Many fans believe it’s Ron Perlman, the actor known for his role in the Hellboy movies. He’s been the voice of the Fallout video game series since the very beginning.
A YouTube commenter, NerdPixelz, excitedly pointed out that the voice in the trailer sounds remarkably like Ron Perlman, leading them to wonder if he’s playing a Super Mutant.
One fan swiftly replied: “That’d be awesome!”
“I would cry in a good way,” another fan added.
“It does sound like him! It would be full Circle for him,” came yet another response.

Longtime Fallout players will remember Rob Perlman as the iconic voice behind the opening narrations in many of the games, including Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, New Vegas, Fallout 76, and Fallout Tactics. He also appeared in the games, playing a newsreader in Fallout 4 and the character Butch Harris in the very first Fallout.
It would be fantastic to see the character Perlman included in the Fallout TV show, and fans are really hoping the recent rumors about it are accurate!
We’re not sure who the actor is playing – a Super Mutant, a Ghoul, a regular human, or even a character he’s played before. We’ll have to wait and see, and we’re excited to find out!
