Mark Millar is known for creating captivating characters, and his new comic series from Dark Horse, Star-Crossed, features some of the galaxy’s most skilled thieves. The story is a fast-paced, epic adventure, and it brings back two beloved characters who haven’t been seen in over six years. You can get a sneak peek at Star-Crossed right here.
The creative team behind popular titles like Nemesis and Kick-Ass (Mark Millar), Topolino and Nick Raider (Corrado Mastantuono), with colorist Niso Mastantuono and letterer Clem Robins (known for Hellboy and 100 Bullets) are reuniting for Star-Crossed. This new series brings back Thena Khole and Cody Blue, first introduced in 2019’s Space Bandits. This time, after a series of daring robberies targeting the wealthiest women in the galaxy, the duo find themselves with the entire galaxy pursuing them. Get a sneak peek at their next adventure in Star-Crossed below.

The Greatest Thieves Might Be In Over Their Heads In Star-Crossed

We last saw Thena and Cody seeking revenge on the crews who had wronged them. While their plan hit a few snags, they eventually got their payback. Now, in Star-Crossed, they’re facing a new challenge that might be more than they can handle.
The story of Star-Crossed starts with Thena and Cody successfully completing a daring robbery targeting the wealthiest women in the galaxy. The Bandits, their crew, expect to keep a relatively low profile afterward, anticipating only a few bounty hunters will come after them.
They badly misjudged how their actions would be received, and now they’re facing a huge backlash. Not only is there a large reward offered for their capture, but it’s attracted the attention of every bounty hunter and professional in the galaxy. Even their incredible skills might not be enough to get them out of this situation.

The new comic series, Star-Crossed, will have beautiful cover art by Mastantuono, Stuart Immonen (Superman, All-New X-Men), and Jae Lee (known for Inhumans and Gargoyles). June Chung (Thundercats, Space Ghost) will provide the color work. You can see a preview of the covers above, and the official series description is below.
Okay, so the Space Bandits are, like, the most notorious thieves in the galaxy, right? They target super-rich women and figured there’d be some consequences, maybe a bounty or two. But honestly, they had no idea it would be this bad! The reward for catching them is insane, and now every bounty hunter from every planet is chasing them around. It’s a total mess, but honestly? It’s kinda awesome to watch.
Star-Crossed #1 (of 5) will hit comic stores on July 8, 2026.
