The source, who is in the know, has also hinted at a crucial scene where the title superhero team’s uniform might be revealed.

A well-informed source, @MyTimeToShineH, recently hinted on a platform (previously known as Twitter) that the upcoming film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, may feature an exciting clash between Mole Man’s creature and the main characters, who will be dressed in their classic comic book outfits. Moreover, this insider suggested that the movie might also allude to several other villains from the comics by mentioning their names.

In the initial scenes of Fantastic Four’s First Steps, Puppet Master, Mad Thinker, Diablo, Red Ghost, and Wizard are mentioned. Each character dons their classic comic book outfits to battle against Mole Man’s monsters, who appear in black and blue.

In Marvel Comics, all six characters – Mole Man, Red Ghost, Diablo, Mad Thinker, Puppet Master, and Wizard (co-created with Larry Lieber) – are linked to the Fantastic Four comic series. They first appeared in the comics during the ’60s, having been initially conceived by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby.

Paul Walter Hauser, who received a Primetime Emmy for his role as Larry Hall on Apple TV+’s Black Bird, will take on Harvey Elder, also known as the Mole Man, in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. This casting was revealed through the initial comic book tie-in for the film.

In “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” the story unfolds within an imaginative blend of the 1960s aesthetic and a forward-thinking vision of Earth. Consequently, it’s logical that the film will showcase characters who made their debut in the comic books during that era. Importantly, Galactus was one of those characters, introduced by Lee and Kirby in Fantastic Four #48, published in March 1966.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps comes out in US theaters on July 25, 2025.
