TYPE-MOON has pushed back the release of the Fate/EXTRA Record remake, originally planned for spring 2026. They’ve also reorganized how the game is being developed and are now working with a new publisher, replacing Bandai Namco.
After talks between TYPE-MOON’s parent company, Notes, and Bandai Namco, a decision has been made regarding the remake. Work on the game will continue, and details about the new publisher and when it will be released will be shared as soon as they’re finalized.
Fate/EXTRA Record is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam). The game is being developed by TYPE-MOON studio bb, a part of TYPE-MOON, and led by Kazuya Niinou, who also directed the Dragon Quest Builders series.
