FBC: Firebreak’s has received its first big update, called Breakpoint. A new emergency – a strange crisis – has emerged at The Oldest House. Players will need to explore the Research Sector to tackle an unusual threat: mold. Watch the trailer below to get a sense of how critical this situation is.
“Outbreak” isn’t just about dangerous mold. It also introduces new goals: you’ll need to carry infected items-but be careful, holding them for too long is deadly-and fight mold-based enemies. To help you manage the increased threat, there are three new weapons: the Semi-automatic rifle, Scattergun and Rotary Cannon. You can also utilize Freeze and Black Rock grenades, plus a third type that provides healing.
If you’re new to the game, check out Orientation, a helpful tutorial level. We’ve also added overview videos for each Crisis. And that’s just the beginning! We’ve completely reworked things, including the Crisis Board and Gun Mods. The Gun Mods system now lets you customize weapons with nine universal mods and six mods specific to each weapon category, giving you even more options for building unique loadouts.
FBC: Firebreak can be played on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. The next content update, called “Rogue Protocol,” will be released in November, and another update is planned for March 2026. We’ll share more information soon, so keep an eye out for future announcements.
