Remedy Entertainment’s *FBC: Firebreak* is getting a major update called Breakpoint on September 29th at 10 AM Pacific Time. This update introduces a new Crisis within the Outbreak, tasking players with exploring the Research Sector to stop a Mold outbreak.
The new Breakpoint system changes how you advance and choose missions. Instead of picking a specific mission type, you’ll now use the Crisis Board, which offers a rotating selection of four to six urgent situations. These crises last for 30 minutes and provide different opportunities for various missions, each with unique lengths, challenges, and rewards.
The game’s weapons have been completely updated, with 27 new modifications offering greater customization and letting you create unique builds. Along with these changes, Breakpoint introduces three new weapons – the Semi-Automatic Rifle, Rotary Cannon, and Scattergun – and three new grenades: Freeze, Healing, and the exciting Black Rock.
Get ready to face five new enemy types – two are based on the Mold, and three fight alongside the Hiss. We’ve also made big improvements to the game’s economy and made it easier for new players to start with a helpful tutorial, videos, and other resources. Plus, you’ll hear more from Hank and Jerry! We’ll share more details when the Breakpoint update releases next week.
I’m really excited about FBC: Firebreak! It’s out now on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. I’ve already checked out a review of how the game plays at launch, so you can too!
