
I’m so excited! Limited Run Games just announced they’re working with Square Enix to bring Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix to the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch in 2026. I’ve been waiting for this game to get a re-release for ages!
Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix was originally created by Kronos Digital Entertainment and first became available on PlayStation on February 21, 2001. This marks the first time the game has been released on other systems.
The first Fear Effect game is now available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam. However, it’s unknown if Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix will also be released on those platforms. Limited Run Games has been contacted for comment, and we’ll share any updates as soon as we receive them.
