Christmas, whether you celebrate it or not, offers a good chance to pause and think about the year that’s passed. With many offices closed and the games industry slowing down, we can finally take a moment to look back on the last twelve months.

Even with all the negativity you might see online, we think 2025 has been a fantastic year for the PS5. The number of games released has been incredible – it’s easy to forget how many great titles came out, and many of them were truly exceptional.

Our Game of the Year coverage is already in full swing, and we hope you’re enjoying everything we’ve created! It takes a lot of effort for our team, but we love putting together this special content for you while the gaming industry takes a breather.

We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you, our readers! Your feedback and opinions are especially valuable right now. With changes in how search engines operate and a general slowdown in gaming media, your support is truly helping us stay afloat.

Just like the team in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, we’re pressing on. This short break won’t last long, as we’re quickly moving into 2026 with a release schedule that seems impossible to manage at the moment. Take a look at the PlayStation 5 games coming out in February – it’s a lot!
