Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth Sales Seemingly Spike After Revelation Reveal

People have been discussing how well Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth have sold, but I always believed the remake series would be very successful and continue to do well.

It’s tough to sell the second and third games in a series. Many players try the first one but don’t continue with the rest, which naturally lowers excitement for any follow-ups.

There’s still a way to improve things, though. Completing the story allows you to present the entire trilogy as one finished package, which might attract new viewers who were hesitant to start when it was still ongoing.

So, after getting a complete look at Final Fantasy 7: Revelation, it totally makes sense that everyone’s jumping into Remake and Rebirth now! It’s awesome seeing so much hype around the whole series.

Both games are currently very popular on Steam, with player numbers higher than they’ve been since the games first came out. We expect to see a similar increase in players on PlayStation 5.

Sales and discounts definitely played a role, but it’s clear many fans are eager to revisit Cloud and his friends’ story before the last installment comes out next spring.

As we mentioned, there’s a lot of room for future releases. It’s almost certain that Square Enix will eventually release the three games together as one collection, and after that, they could likely remaster them for the PlayStation 6 and beyond!

We expect player numbers to keep rising in the next few months, likely reaching their highest point right before the “Revelation” update releases. There’s a lot of excitement building, so we’re hoping the developers have delivered a great final chapter.
