Florence Pugh’s Most Underrated Movie Is Finally Streaming Again

If you’ve gone to the cinema recently, you’ve probably seen Florence Pugh. The actress has quickly become a popular star in Hollywood, appearing in films like Midsommar, Don’t Worry Darling, and Oppenheimer. Having recently starred in movies such as Dune: Part Two, We Live in Time, and Thunderbolts*, fans who want to see more of her work can now stream one of her first, and often overlooked, films.

I recently discovered that Fighting with My Family is now available on Tubi, starting September 1st! This 2019 biographical sports comedy-drama is seriously good, and features an amazing cast including Florence Pugh and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. It’s actually based on the 2012 documentary, The Wrestlers: Fighting with My Family, and tells the story of professional wrestler Paige, whose real name is Saraya. The film follows her journey, growing up in a really close wrestling family, and how she and her brother Zak got the incredible chance to audition for the WWE.

Why You Should Watch Fighting with My Family

As a fan, I have to say Fighting with My Family is seriously good! It’s got a 93% “Certified Fresh” score on Rotten Tomatoes, and it’s actually in the top five highest-rated movies for both Florence Pugh and Dwayne Johnson – and I totally get why. The script by Stephen Merchant is just *so* strong and feels really real, telling a family story about sports that manages to be funny, dramatic, and genuinely heartwarming all at once. It’s a really feel-good, inspirational movie that I think anyone can enjoy, whether you’re a huge wrestling fan or not. It does a great job of showing both the exciting, flashy side of the WWE *and* telling a classic underdog story. I highly recommend it!

Beyond the story itself, the cast’s performances are a major highlight of Fighting with My Family. Before starring in hits like Oppenheimer, Dune: Part Two, and Black Widow, Florence Pugh gave a charming and determined performance as Paige, which brought her worldwide attention. She skillfully combined humor and heartfelt emotion, and critics loved how perfectly she portrayed the character. The rest of the cast – including Dwayne Johnson, Nick Frost, Lena Headey, and Vince Vaughn – all gave strong, memorable performances, making Fighting with My Family a truly captivating and enjoyable movie.
