Fortnite recreates lost Kill Bill scene, 20 years after Quentin Tarantino wrote it

Fortnite launched its new Chapter Seven, called Pacific Break, over the weekend with a spectacular live event. To celebrate, Quentin Tarantino has partnered with Epic Games to include a deleted scene from his film Kill Bill within the game.

I was so surprised to learn about this! Apparently, Quentin Tarantino wrote an entire scene called ‘Yuki’s Revenge’ for one of his movies, but it ended up being cut. Now, he’s bringing it to life in Fortnite in 2025, which is awesome! And to top it off, they’re re-releasing the full, uncut ‘Kill Bill’ – the four-and-a-half-hour version – in theaters this weekend. I can’t wait!

“The Lost Chapter: Yuki’s Revenge” is a roughly 10-minute short film created in Unreal Engine and directed by Quentin Tarantino. It features Uma Thurman reprising her role as The Bride, and her famous Kill Bill outfit can be unlocked in the Chapter Seven battle pass.

As a huge fan, I was so excited to hear Tarantino talk about joining Fortnite! He said it just felt right – like his style would really fit the game’s world and characters. He was waiting for the perfect project, and he felt Fortnite offered something special – a chance to create something really cinematic within this massive, already-amazing universe.

Uma Thurman recently watched a Fortnite stream on Instagram featuring her in-game character, alongside streamer Typical Gamer.

After you watch the animated movie within Fortnite, you can find it again and rewatch it on the Discover page.

The animated short will premiere with the game and also be shown during limited screenings of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair in the UK, US, and Canada.

Fortnite’s Season 7 brought some big changes! Instead of the usual Battle Bus, players now glide onto the island from the edge of the map, creating a completely new way to start a match.

As a huge fan, I was so excited to see Epic Games team up with Stranger Things right before Season 7 dropped! It was perfectly timed with the release of the first part of Stranger Things Season 5 last week, and it really got everyone hyped for both events.
