Just a week before players can start experiencing it, Playground Games has released a launch trailer for Forza Horizon 6. The trailer features the song “Enchanting Stranger” by Milk Talk, which fans may remember from the game’s initial reveal, and sets a great tone for the fast-paced racing. Drifting enthusiasts might also spot a possible homage to the late Ken Block.
The launch trailer also showcases the diverse landscapes and cars players will experience in Japan. You’ll race along streets lined with cherry blossoms, across the Rainbow Bridge into Tokyo, and through snowy mountains. The ultimate aim is to become a Horizon Legend by collecting wristbands through festival events.
Honestly, one of the best parts of this game is just exploring the world and finding everything it has to offer. The ‘fog of war’ mechanic means you really have to drive around to uncover things, and that’s how you find awesome, heavily modified cars. I’ve even stumbled upon some new Forza Edition cars with way more intense upgrades than I’ve seen in other Forza games – it’s super cool!
Players with the Premium Edition of Forza Horizon 6 can start racing on May 15th on Xbox Series X/S and PC. Reviews will be available the day before. Those who purchased the Standard Edition can begin playing on May 19th. PlayStation 5 players will have to wait until later in the year.
