It appears that, as of now, no official announcement has been made regarding the next installment in the Forza Horizon series. However, there’s a good possibility that we may have uncovered the location for the sixth game.
Based on a since-removed Instagram post from automobile importer Cult and Classic, it appears that an associate from the Forza Horizon team stopped by to snap photos of Kei cars for the upcoming game. These vehicles, primarily produced by Honda, Suzuki, and Daihatsu, originate in Japan.
Cody, who is with @ForzaHorizonOfficial, is currently taking pictures of vehicles for the upcoming game in the series. Since there are no modern Kei cars available in America, he came to us from the U.S. to use our cars as the foundation for the digital versions. This has sparked speculation that Forza Horizon 6 might be set in Japan.
Similarly to how fans of the Assassin’s Creed series have long desired Japan as a setting, many enthusiasts of Forza Horizon have expressed a wish for the franchise to explore Japan for years. With the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 5 recently released, there’s a high probability that the sixth installment will simultaneously launch on PlayStation, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
It’s anticipated that the next installment of Forza Horizon will debut in 2026, as hinted by Xbox head Phil Spencer earlier this year. In celebration of Xbox’s 25th anniversary, there are plans for a new Fable game, the upcoming Forza title, Gears of War: E-Day, and the return of an original game that has been part of our journey since the start. Given that the “original” game is speculated to be Halo, it’s also been suggested that the series will eventually make its way to PS5 as well.
