Okay, so with all the big game releases happening this spring, I almost forgot! Forza Horizon 6 is coming out in May, and they just dropped nearly nine minutes of new gameplay footage with IGN First. It’s not showing off any races, customizing cars, or events yet, which is a little disappointing, but it is a really chill, long drive in the Saleen S7 – and honestly, that’s pretty awesome to watch!
The game features a wide range of plant life, and you can even see distant landscapes like the Alpine regions. We’ve also confirmed a few more locations you’ll be able to explore, including Minamino and Ito. Get ready to travel through the Osaka Tunnels and discover Satta Pass, which offers stunning views of Mount Fuji.
It’s noticeable that there aren’t many cars on the roads, particularly when driving in the city. The developers, Playground Games, might have done this intentionally to make you feel like you’re going faster. However, the final version of the game will likely have much more traffic, as this footage is from a pre-release build.
The latest installment, Forza Horizon 6, arrives on Xbox Series X/S and PC on May 19th, and will be available on PS5 later in 2024. You can find details about the game’s Career Mode – and how it successfully combines competitive racing with exploring Japan – at this link.
