PS5 owners can now download a free trial of a Sega game scheduled for release in 2025. While it doesn’t add the game to your library permanently, you’ll get a full 10 hours of playtime. To access it, you’ll need a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription – the most expensive tier of Sony’s subscription service, but the only one that offers game trials. Most trials are quite short, lasting only an hour or two, but this one is significantly longer, giving you a substantial amount of time to play.
PlayStation Plus Premium members on both PS5 and PS5 Pro can now try out Football Manager 2026 for free, with access to up to 10 hours of gameplay. This is the newest version of the long-running football management simulation series from Sports Interactive and Sega, which first launched in 2004. While released on November 4th, initial reviews were mixed, scoring a 68 on Metacritic. Many players criticized the removal of features from the previous game and reported performance problems, though most of those issues have since been resolved.
Largest PlayStation Plus Premium Trial Yet
This is the biggest trial yet for PlayStation Plus Premium. Football Manager is a game that can keep you playing for hundreds of hours, so ten hours is a good amount of time to see if it’s for you before you buy it. And right now, Sega is offering a deal: the game is 40% off, bringing the price down from $60 to $36. This discounted price is only available until April 23rd.
If you’re used to playing Football Manager on a computer, be aware that the console versions aren’t quite as polished. The controls and menus are noticeably less intuitive. However, the core gameplay is essentially the same.
We’re not sure exactly how long this offer will last with PlayStation Plus Premium. However, based on similar promotions in the past, and the fact that Sony hasn’t specified an end date, it’s likely to be available for a significant period of time.
