Riot Games has announced the release date for its new free-to-play fighting game, 2XKO. The game features characters and elements from their popular game, League of Legends.
Originally planned for January 2026, the game will now release on January 20th. This specific date was found in a recently released trailer, which has since been removed but was captured by Nabil Mehari and shared on Bluesky.
This marks the beginning of a packed January for free-to-play games on PlayStation, as both Arknights: Endfield (January 22nd) and The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin (January 28th) are scheduled for release.
2XKO has been playable on PC for a while now, but releasing it on consoles is a big step for the game. PlayStation 5 is the preferred console for many fighting game fans, so it’s likely where 2XKO will gain the most popularity and players.
