Fresh Off the Boat’s Trevor Larcom Claps Back at Ozempic Rumors

Trevor Larcom wants to shed a rumor about his new look.

In response to rumors spreading online suggesting he utilized medication and steroids for his impressive 130-pound weight loss transformation recently displayed on social media, the former star of Fresh Off the Boat took a stand to refute these claims.

The 21-year-old stated in a September 3 TikTok video that they had been accused of using Ozempic and anabolic steroids. To clarify, they were first accused of using anabolic steroids, not Ozempic, but they’ve faced accusations for both substances.

Essentially, the former star of True Detective attributed most of his weight loss to alterations in his eating habits.

In an August 23 TikTok video, he displayed some of his shopping purchases such as six lettuce packs, two bunches of bananas, two cartons of strawberries, packages of low-fat ground beef and fat-free cheddar cheese, non-fat whipped cream, two bottles of sugar-free lemonade, and two boxes of diet soft drinks.

Trevor Larcom wants to shed some rumors about his new look.

After unveiling a 130-pound weight loss makeover, the former star of “Fresh Off the Boat” dispelled rumors on social media that he relied on GLP-1 drugs and anabolic steroids for his weight reduction.

Trevor, aged 21, stated in a September 3rd TikTok video that he was accused of using Ozempic and anabolic steroids. He clarified that it was his first accusation about using roids, although he’s also been accused of using Ozempic on two separate occasions.

Essentially, the former star of True Detective attributed most of his weight reduction to adjusting his eating habits and increasing physical activity.

Eat less calories than you burn, consume more protein, lift weights and walk regularly. I managed to lose 130 lbs following this routine.

He’s also given peeks into his shopping bags, such as a TikTok on August 23 showcasing six heads of lettuce, an abundance of fruits, plus extra lean ground beef and low-fat, no-sugar products.

Throughout his journey of weight loss transformation, Trevor, who once weighed 300 pounds, has openly dealt with the critical remarks he’s received.

In a TikTok video posted on August 25th, he clarified the comments he’s been receiving lately. People accuse him of capitalizing on his weight loss journey or transformation, dubbed as ‘milking it’. However, he assures everyone that his intentions are sincere – to inspire and motivate you all by showing that change is possible. He has no plans to slow down in doing so.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but notice the transformation of stars like Serena Williams and Meghan Trainor. While Trevor maintains he’s steered clear of appetite suppressant medications such as Ozempic and Mounjaro, these celebrities have bravely shared their personal journeys using these Type 2 diabetes medications for weight loss. Curious to know more about others who have weighed in on this topic? Keep reading!

She expressed her fondness by saying, ‘Give it a try,’ on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. She has no reservations. If someone wants to use Ozempic, absolutely, go for it!

As an ardent advocate, I exclaim, “I yearn for a world where discussing such matters becomes as casual as chatting about the weather. I sense a stigma, a feeling of embarrassment that seems to prevail, and it’s a shame I believe is perpetuated primarily by those who are thin, envying my progress towards slimming down. They’re enraged, perhaps because their identity was previously tied to my weight, but I am more than just pounds – I am vibrant, I have a captivating personality, and that’s what truly sets me apart.

In December 2024, the model revealed that she had discontinued using Ozempic, as her participation in ‘Dancing With the Stars’ commenced the preceding autumn.

In a conversation with Us Weekly back in October 2024, she expressed that it seems quite normal within the realm of reality TV to casually comment on things like “She’s had plastic surgery” or “She’s using Ozempic,” but personally, she strongly dislikes Ozempic and would never consider injecting herself with needles for it.

As a lifestyle enthusiast speaking from my personal experience, let me share an exciting transformation I underwent just recently: In the spring of 2024, I revealed to Page Six that I successfully shed an impressive 32 pounds in merely two months! The secret? Regular injections of semaglutide, a generic version of the well-known medication Ozempic.

“You know what’s annoying?” he said. “The regret of not starting it 10 years ago.”

In a blog post dated March 2024, the popular figure known as The Pioneer Woman revealed that she didn’t lose 50 pounds in 2022 by using Ozempic or similar drugs. Instead, she attributed her weight loss to other means.

I’d like to assure you, I’ll never pass judgment on those who make their own choices. That path is their journey, not mine to judge.

In August 2023, the former star of “30 Rock” shared during an appearance on “Today With Hoda and Jenna” that he had shed some pounds due to Ozempic’s ability to curb his hunger.

In March 2024, it seemed his health journey took an unexpected twist. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he joked that he had learned to consume more than Ozempic could counteract, resulting in a 40-pound weight gain.

Towards the end of that month, he made it clear to TopMob News that his previous statement was a joke. He went on to say, “Ozempic worked well for me, and I’m grateful I could use it.

In a candid conversation, the cast member of “The Real Housewives of Dubai” shared her experience with using Ozempic, following what she described as a midlife crisis that occurred at the age of 45.

In her podcast episode on May 22, titled “Uncut & Uncensored With Caroline Stanbury“, she mentioned that after the age of 40, losing weight becomes extremely challenging. However, she’s encountered numerous women of the same age asking, “How did you manage it?” Her honest response was that she utilized Ozempic, a tool she highly recommends if one can use it.

During a July 2024 episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” the star of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” clarified that she is not using Ozempic, but instead opted for Mounjaro. She jokingly admitted her mistake and expressed her satisfaction with her current weight, adding that she has an abundance of energy, a fact evident to viewers.

Previously on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, a former cast member shared her struggle with losing weight using an injectable treatment.

She stated in June 2024 that the diet didn’t suppress her hunger. Contrary to what others might say, ‘I can’t eat,’ she couldn’t relate. Instead, she enjoyed appetizers, a full meal, and dessert, demonstrating no effect on her appetite. Disappointingly, when it worked for others but not her, it led to feelings of sadness. Realistically, it made her wonder, ‘What’s wrong with me? Why isn’t it working for me?’

During the Fox News Digital interview, she expressed that while she’s not able to provide medical insights, there is a wealth of information available regarding the effectiveness and ineffectiveness of certain treatments. She noted that Ozempic appears to have substantial advantages but also potential risks associated with its use.

Previously a member of Little Mix, known for her honesty about overcoming anorexia, confessed finding it challenging to steer clear of Ozempic amidst rumors on the internet concerning her weight.

In an interview with The Guardian in August 2025, Jade shared her ongoing personal struggle against the urge to start using Ozempic. She stressed that she holds no judgment towards others who do use it, but due to her past struggles with eating disorders, she worries about the potential consequences of such a medication for her personal health journey.

In a 2024 episode of her podcast named “misSPELLING,” she openly discussed her experience. She had tried Ozempic but it didn’t bring any positive results for her. However, upon switching to Mounjaro, she experienced success and managed to shed some weight.

Speaking with TopMob News’ Francesca Amiker, I firmly believe it’s crucial to grasp that particular medications are tailored for specific individuals. It shouldn’t be carelessly disregarded merely for the sake of maintaining a glamorous image.

Raven added, “Go ahead and act as needed, but remember to keep the medicine reserved for those truly in need.

In September 2023, the host of Talk U.K. disclosed that she had lost 42 pounds by taking Ozempic during the earlier part of the year.

She shared with TopMob News that the decision is entirely yours to make. And it’s nothing to be ashamed of if you’ve used something to aid in weight loss – as long as it’s acceptable.

She added, “We don’t have to bulls–t.”

Sharon’s daughter has also weighed in on the Ozempic trend.

As a champion of modern living, I must confess, it truly captivates me! In an interview with TopMob News back in January 2024, I expressed my enthusiasm. Why stick to the monotony of conventional exercise when there are a myriad of innovative approaches to shedding pounds? Life’s too short for tedium; let’s make weight loss fun and exciting!

As a passionate admirer, I’d like to share that the captivating star of the Titanic, who was once a subject of relentless media scrutiny regarding her weight, has voiced her thoughts on the current weight loss craze.

In an interview with The New York Times Magazine, published in March 2024, Kate openly admitted, “To be honest, I’m not familiar with Ozempic. It seems to be a medication of some sort, though that’s the extent of my knowledge.

“Oh, my God,” Kate remarked after learning about the injectable. “This sounds terrible.”

In December 2023, the actress from Hills announced that she had shed 22 pounds without using Ozempic. She expressed her disapproval when discussing other celebrities who use the drug, telling Page Six, “Life doesn’t have shortcuts. If you’re taking a shortcut, I don’t know about it.” She declined to name names and opted not to discuss the matter further, stating that she would never resort to such methods herself.

As a dedicated enthusiast, I’m yearning for something that embodies sustainability – a commitment to long-term success rather than a fleeting trend. Moreover, I am drawn to options that necessitate some effort, as I believe the fruits of labor are often sweeter and more rewarding in the end.

In her June 8, 2023 interview on “Watch What Happens Live,” the star of Trainwreck did not mince words when she openly criticized celebrities for failing to disclose their use of Ozempic as a means for weight loss.

She said to Andy Cohen, “Everyone, including their mothers, will give it a try. Everyone has been pretending to advocate for smaller portions, but in truth, they’re either using Ozempic or similar medications, or they’ve had cosmetic procedures. So, enough with the deception.

In a candid manner, Schumer, known for her honesty regarding past health treatments, stated, “Always be truthful. When I had liposuction, I openly admitted that I did.

She confessed to quickly taking a keen interest in Ozempic back in 2022, yet clarified that it was not feasible for her to use the Type 2 diabetes medication because it prevented her from spending time with her son, Gene.

In her recollection, Schumer shared that she was among those who felt incredibly unwell, to the point where she could hardly interact with her son. She was extremely thin during this time, and even when he played ball with her, it was challenging for her.

Dr. Drew explained to TopMob News at Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season two event in Los Angeles on Sept. 12, 2023, that there is a blend of excitement and apprehension about interventions like these. People are intrigued by it, yet they also harbor a peculiar sense of criticism.

If there’s a beneficial drug available, then certainly people ought to consider giving it a thought.

Forget winter, a hot take is coming.

The former “Game of Thrones” actress had no qualms expressing her views regarding Ozempic and its promotions.

On April 5, 2023, the actress shared a tweet by writer Sophie Vershbow on her Instagram Story, which read, “The Ozempic ads covering the Times Square subway station should just disappear.” In the photos accompanying her tweet, Vershbow had included ads with text such as, “A single shot for weight loss,” and another advertising, “Weekly injections to lose weight.

Turner adding her own commentary, writing, “WTF.”

Novo Nordisk, the manufacturer of Ozempic, has informed us that this medication hasn’t received approval from the FDA for long-term weight management purposes.

Here’s one way to rephrase the original statement while keeping it natural and easy to read:
“Although some medical professionals might prescribe Ozempic for weight loss, Novo Nordisk does not advocate or support off-label use of our medications. We remain dedicated to adhering to all relevant U.S. laws and regulations in promoting our products. Ultimately, we trust that healthcare providers are assessing each patient’s unique needs and selecting the most suitable medication accordingly.

As a devoted follower, I can attest that Ozempic isn’t a joking matter, even for a comedian like me. Recently, I learned from my ‘anti-aging physician’ that they had prescribed me this medication, and I hadn’t initially understood what the drug actually was.

During the January 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy, she remarked, “I hadn’t realized I was on it, but she suggested, ‘If you’re looking to lose around 5 pounds, this could be helpful.’

But while she tried the drug, Handler noted that she didn’t like how it made her feel.

Upon returning from my holiday, I administered it to myself, she reminisced. A few days later, at lunch with a friend, she said, “I’m not eating much. I feel terribly nauseous, I’m on Ozempic.” To which I replied, “I too am feeling queasy,” but the truth was, I had just returned from Spain and was still dealing with jet lag.

In the end, Handler chose to stop taking the medication as it was no longer medically required for her personal health. Furthermore, she generously distributed the excess doses to her close friends.

As an ardent enthusiast, I’ve shared Ozempic with roughly four to five of my closest friends, a realization dawning on me that it seemed preposterous for me not to do so. After all, it’s primarily intended for those carrying more weight. Yet, here I am, inviting folks over, saying, “Drop by at 1, drop by at 2,” as I see them in a new light.

Khloe Kardashian clapped back when commenters on Instagram speculated that she was taking Ozempic.

In a January 2023 post, Kardashian stated, “Please remember my years of dedication to fitness when reading this. Five days a week, I wake up at 6 am for my workouts. Let’s put an end to the speculations. It seems even the new year hasn’t changed some people’s behavior.

As a devout admirer, I couldn’t help but follow Dr. Dubrow’s lead and dive into the world of weight-loss drugs myself! In January 2023, I even took the leap and experimented with Mounjaro for a while, eager to discover firsthand how it impacts our bodies.

The star of Botched expressed delight, stating, “I found it astonishing.” He noted that he didn’t require significant weight loss. However, intrigued by the experience of his patients who were using it, he decided to try it himself, despite only needing to shed 10-15 pounds and not having diabetes.

Dr. Dubrow didn’t reveal the duration of his treatment or the amount of weight he shed while on the medication, but he did confirm that he has ceased using it now.

In his own words, he shared, “I found myself yearning to enjoy food again, so I decided it was time to discontinue the medication.” He further elaborated that along with this longing, he had been experiencing a mild nauseous sensation.

A cast member from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills openly addressed speculation that she was using certain medication due to observations about her weight loss by her social media fans.

On January 5, 2023, under an Instagram post showing herself with her friends following a workout, Richard clarified, “I’m not using Ozempic,” and further emphasized, “I’ve never used it.

On her January 16, 2023 Instagram post via Page Six, the Bravo star refuted the rumors once again, making it clear that she is not using the mentioned medication.
