The upcoming prequel series of “Friday the 13th” titled “Crystal Lake,” streaming on Peacock, has cast its Jason Voorhees, but there’s an unexpected twist for some fans. The series will primarily focus on Pamela Voorhees, Jason’s mother (played by Linda Cardellini), rather than Jason himself.
