Ubisoft has shared its plans for the future of The Crew Motorfest, and it’s exciting to see just how much new content is on the way.
The Ivory Tower racer is now directly competing with Forza Horizon 5 on PlayStation 5, and it appears to be handling the competition effectively.
Need for Speed Unbound Year 3 kicks off on November 5th with a fresh Street Riders playlist. It’s all about embracing underground car culture as you compete in free races with no pre-defined routes.
You’ll need to utilise the environment to find shortcuts and outpace your rivals.
Like everything in The Crew Motorfest, this event has a unique visual style. You’ll see graffiti-covered speedometers on the screen and bright flares guiding your way.
This season will feature BMW-inspired content that dives into the brand’s history. Players will also have access to new wheel options to customize their cars, including designs based on real-world manufacturers.
And it doesn’t stop there! Next month, the developers are dropping a really cool feature called Track Forge – basically a tool to build your own circuits. They’re also teaming up with NASCAR for some licensed content, and adding RC cars, which sounds awesome! I can’t wait to try it all out.
The highlight is a brand new playground area, designed for performing stunts and showing off your driving ability.
The game will receive a free seasonal update with new content. Players can also purchase a Year 3 Pass for 21 extra cars, which will be released gradually over the year. The first four cars are available to claim immediately.
If you already have the Year 1 Pass or Year 2 Pass, you’ll receive a special bonus: the Cadillac CIEL Concept 2011 car. It’s a cool addition!
So, another absolute mammoth update for The Crew Motorfest, then.
Despite often facing criticism, Ubisoft consistently provides excellent support for its games after they launch. They reliably keep their games engaging and updated, and this time, there’s plenty of reason to revisit the world of Hawaii.
