After demonstrating various weapons featured in the open-world game (including some dual blades), Sucker Punch Productions declared that the game Ghost of Yōtei has reached its final stage before release. The main development phase has been completed, and the game will now be sent for testing and preparation of physical discs for manufacturing.
The development team is likely to release an update immediately after launch, so keep an eye out for more information regarding that. In related news, Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to the highly praised Ghost of Tsushima, is set to drop on October 2nd for PS5. Centered around 300 years later, it follows Atsu, a blacksmith’s daughter seeking retribution against the Yōtei Six who massacred her family.
In the spirit of maintaining key combat and stealth mechanics, Ghost of Yōtei introduces an array of fresh weapon options, each with distinct abilities. Not only can players disarm opponents (with potential reversals if they’re not cautious), but they can also hurl weapons and enjoy other exciting features. The advancement system is more flexible as Atsu pursues clues to locate the Six. Keep an eye out for further updates prior to release.
The spirit of Mount Yōtei is now officially completed! 🎉 We are thrilled to have finally hit this significant point and can hardly wait for you all to explore the charm of Ezo starting October 2nd. Pre-order your copy today at ghostofyotei.com!
