Ghost of Yōtei, the latest open-world action-adventure game from Sucker Punch Productions and a sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, is now available on PS5. Priced at $69.99, the game centers around Atsu, a spirit seeking revenge for her family by defeating the Yōtei Six.
Taking place over 300 years after the story of Tsushima, Ghost of Yōtei doesn’t have any direct ties to the original game (Atsu isn’t related to Jin Sakai, for example). However, it features gameplay that will feel familiar to players, using the Guiding Wind for navigation and tools like Smoke Bombs, Kunai, and Scorch Bombs.
The fighting is quite familiar, but now you have a wider range of weapons at your disposal, including dual swords, the yari, kusarigama, odachi, and even brand new guns. To really master these weapons, you’ll need to find and learn from skilled instructors, and certain enemies are more vulnerable to specific weapon types. That said, Sucker Punch doesn’t force you to switch things up – you can stick with one weapon if you prefer, though it will be challenging.
