Sucker Punch Productions unveiled a fresh story trailer for their game, Ghost of Yōtei, offering a better look at the Yōtei Six. But what really grabbed attention was the announcement of Ghost of Yōtei Legends – a cooperative mode reminiscent of Ghost of Tsushima Legends, scheduled to release in 2026.
In addition to facing challenges from the spiritual realm, players will take on survival-focused quests. Just like its previous version, Yōtei Legends is available for free to those who own the main game. However, it’s yet to be determined how this sequel will set itself apart in aspects such as progression, rewards, and mission diversity. From the teaser material, it looks like the four character classes from Tsushima Legends might reappear.
Meanwhile, starting October 2nd on PS5, the Ghost of Yōtei makes its appearance. Sucker Punch has shared gameplay footage featuring the yari, a powerful weapon that can send enemies tumbling off bridges. Additionally, the kusarigama, which inflicts damage over time when ignited, is also available for viewing here. Keep an eye out for additional weapon trailers leading up to the launch date.
