Players of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends were excited to learn that the first raid will be available on April 10th, as announced by Sucker Punch Productions. After defeating the other members of the Yōtei Six, you can finally challenge Lord Saito. However, finding a team beforehand is highly recommended, as it might take even longer to join a raid if you don’t have one already.
Sucker Punch has announced that finding groups for raids won’t be possible when the game first releases. They plan to add this feature “in a couple of weeks.” In the meantime, players who want to team up are encouraged to join the game’s official Discord server.
It’s understandable why developers might want players with similar playstyles to team up – you’re more likely to find good communication and patience that way, compared to random matchmaking. However, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends successfully used matchmaking for its raids. Once players understood how things worked, random groups were able to cooperate effectively.
There might be technical difficulties causing the delay, so please bear with us. If you’re hoping to get the best rewards and cosmetic items in this mode, it could be worth waiting it out. We’ll keep you updated on when you can start playing, and in the meantime, you can read our review of Legends.
When the game launches, you won’t be able to use the matchmaking feature for the Raid. However, matchmaking will work for all other missions, and we’ll add matchmaking for the Raid a few weeks later.

The Raid is difficult and designed for experienced players. We recommend teaming up with friends or joining our Discord server (discord.gg/RjRnQfwA) to find other players and coordinate a strategy.
