Ghost of Yotei has been a huge success, selling 3.2 million copies in its first 32 days. This figure represents the total number of copies purchased by players as of November 2nd, effectively ending any doubts about the game’s performance on social media.
In contrast, Ghost of Tsushima sold 2.4 million copies in just three days and reached over five million copies sold after four months.
It’s worth remembering that the previous game, Sucker Punch, launched when many people were stuck at home during lockdown and owned a PlayStation 4. Plus, it was less expensive than this one.
Ghost of Yotei is doing remarkably well, proving that initial concerns about its sales were unfounded.
Ever since the game was revealed, some people online have criticized the main character. Additionally, Sucker Punch Productions faced backlash for how they dealt with an employee who made a comment about Charlie Kirk.
Despite earlier concerns, these numbers actually show the game is doing well and has strong support from players.
We’re happy with this game – it’s a significant step up from the last one and a great new option for PS5 owners.
