Following the exciting trailer for *Ghost of Yōtei* yesterday, Sucker Punch is now showcasing the game’s weapons. Today’s focus is on the Dual Blades, which the character Atsu uses to battle enemies in a new gameplay clip. You can watch it below.
I’m really loving how they’ve incorporated the wolf into this character – it’s awesome for pulling enemies’ attention and setting them up for attacks! They brought back smoke bombs, which are great for disorienting opponents, but you can also just chuck things at their faces, which is hilarious and effective. And the weapons are so cool! There’s this amazing jump attack with a yari, and I even saw a quick pistol shot thrown into one of the combos – it looks incredible!
The trailer continues to showcase the variety of weapons and how they impact the fighting in *Ghost of Yōtei*. While it’s still unclear what part the wolf will play in the story, it appears to be helping in a much more intentional way this time around.
Just a heads-up, Ghost of Yōtei is dropping on October 2nd for PS5! I’ve been reading up on it, and they’ve got a whole feature detailing everything that’s different and new compared to the original Ghost of Tsushima. Definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan!
