Glenn Close Defends Kim Kardashian Amid All’s Fair Criticism

Glenn Close is objecting to the critics.

Following some critical feedback after the November 4th debut of the new series All’s Fair, starring Kim Kardashian, Glenn spoke out to support both the show and his fellow cast member.

Let me tell you, I’ve binged all nine episodes, and honestly, it’s fantastic! It really doesn’t hold back – it’s full of drama, some over-the-top moments, but also surprisingly heartfelt. It is what it is, and that’s part of its appeal.

Despite not having a lot of acting experience, Glenn isn’t worried about Kim’s role as attorney Allura Grant, which she’s playing alongside Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash.

As the 78-year-old added, “She surrounded herself with really good people.”

It’s been a real pleasure working with the Kardashian star on this Hulu project. She’s a mom to four kids – North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5 – whom she co-parents with her ex-husband, Kanye West.

Glenn described her as wonderful and intelligent. He was particularly impressed by how dedicated she was to her children. While they were filming, she was studying for her law degree and would often review flashcards to help her prepare.

She recently finished law school, and when I asked her if she planned to practice law, she said she didn’t. She just wanted to have the degree as a safety net, for future possibilities.

Honestly, all the negativity surrounding the new Ryan Murphy series doesn’t seem to bother Kim at all! She actually responded with a really playful and confident message to everyone talking about it, and I loved it!

I’m so excited about this! I just had to share that everyone’s talking about All’s Fair – it’s getting amazing reviews. You can stream it now on both Hulu and Disney+ – trust me, you won’t want to miss it!

In addition to Glenn and Kim, director Anthony Hemingway and other members of the production team also spoke out in support of the show.

He recently told The Hollywood Reporter that you can’t expect everyone to like your work. Some people will criticize it, while many others will love it. He believes the show reflects viewers’ own lives and asks them to consider whether they can personally connect with the story.

He explained that something might not appeal to everyone, or resonate with their personal tastes – and he believes this is true for anything you see on a screen.

Okay, so we’ve heard what Glenn thought about All’s Fair, but honestly? I always say form your own opinions! There are some exciting new TV shows coming up, and I really encourage you to check them out and decide for yourself what you think. Don’t just take anyone’s word for it – including mine!
