I quickly realized that using music from my Norse saga project wouldn’t fit with the new game. Even music from the Greek games felt wrong because the stories were so different. The soundtrack is a real success! It captures the feel of Kratos’ earlier adventures while still honoring the music that made the God of War series so popular. Given Bear McCreary’s history with the franchise and Mega Cat’s skill with retro games, Sons of Sparta features a score you’ll likely find yourself humming for a long time after you finish playing.
