God of War Star Teases New Santa Monica Studio PS5 Game

As a huge God of War fan, I was so excited to hear Christopher Judge – the amazing actor who is Kratos – drop some hints about what Santa Monica Studio is working on! We already know they’re planning remakes of the original three games, but they’ve also been secretly developing something else for a while now, with Cory Barlog leading the charge. Judge just gave us a little peek at when we might finally get to see what that new title is, and honestly, I can’t wait!

So, I was watching a clip from a convention, and Cory Barlog (Judge) let a bunch of stuff slip! He was talking to a fan and didn’t realize he was being recorded, but he basically said Santa Monica Studio is going to announce their next PS5 game this summer. Even cooler, he hinted that TC Carson is coming back as Kratos for a remake of the trilogy, and they’re working on a completely new combat system! He said we’ll probably hear more about it all around late summer, which is awesome!

Is This a New God of War Game?

The main question surrounding Judge’s recent hint is whether it points to a new God of War game. Reports have indicated that Barlog’s next project wouldn’t be a completely original idea, though many fans expected it to feel that way. This led to speculation that Barlog was working on a game separate from the God of War series.

When Judge uses “we” to talk about this game, it suggests he’s actively working on it. Although he might be playing a character in a new game, his comments hint that the project is related to God of War. This has led to a lot of uncertainty and speculation about what Santa Monica Studio is currently developing.
