No doubt the attendees at the 2026 Golden Globes are gonna be, gonna be golden.
The stars of the popular Netflix series KPop Demon Hunters—nominated for three awards at the January 11th ceremony, including best animated feature and best original song—were just a few of the many celebrities who sparkled as they arrived at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. The event, hosted by Nikki Glaser, celebrated the best TV shows and movies of the year.
Oh my gosh, it’s finally happening! Michael B. Jordan from Sinners, Leonardo DiCaprio in One Battle After Another, and Teyana Taylor… I can’t even breathe! And Timothée Chalamet from Marty Supreme? Yes! Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley in Hamnet are just… perfect. Then there’s Jennifer Lawrence in Die My Love – a queen! And finally, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande from Wicked: For Good! It’s their moment, and I’m absolutely living for it!
After working incredibly hard and coming so far, these hopefuls are now imagining hearing their names announced as awards are presented by Kaley Cuoco, Kate Hudson, Kerry Washington, Mindy Kaling, and Sarah Paulson. The ceremony will be broadcast on CBS and available to stream on Paramount+.
Paul Thomas Anderson’s film, One Battle After Another, is the frontrunner with nine nominations. These include nods for Best Director, Best Musical or Comedy Picture, and supporting acting awards for Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn. Taylor and Chase Infiniti are also nominated for their supporting roles, while Leonardo DiCaprio is up for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy.
The popular show The White Lotus received six nominations, including potential awards for supporting actresses Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, and Aimee Lou Wood, and supporting actors Walton Goggins and Jason Isaacs.
As a host, I’m always looking to improve, and this time around, I’m really focusing on making my performance even better. It’s all about bringing that extra energy and making the show shine!
Oh my gosh, he was talking about DiCaprio and Sean Penn, and even Julia Roberts from After the Hunt! He told Gayle King on CBS Mornings that he’s a huge fan of those actors, which, same! He said it’s so easy to playfully roast the newer, younger stars – he feels like a seasoned pro when he does that. But when it comes to the people he grew up admiring? He’s totally different this year, he’s way more careful and respectful, and honestly, it’s so sweet to see!
As such, she worried that it’d be a big mistake—huge—to poke fun at Roberts.
Glaser explained he’s been testing out his monologue at clubs around Los Angeles, but jokes about Julia Roberts consistently fall flat. He joked that you just can’t poke fun at ‘America’s Sweetheart’.
