You meet Bullit pretty early in Gothic 1 Remake, and he’s not exactly pleasant. He’s a boisterous, rude character who you’ll unfortunately need to deal with for a few quests.

Throughout the game, you can find this character either relaxing with a drink inside the Old Camp’s castle or wandering around, intoxicated, near the North Gate at night. His location changes based on your progress in the story and how long you’re willing to wait.

Where to Find Bullit in Gothic 1 Remake

Finding Bullit isn’t nearly as difficult as finding Caine. Most of the time, he’s inside the Old Camp’s inner castle, one of the game’s three Camps. Bullit usually hangs around the tavern with the other guards.

After entering the castle grounds, go through the main gate. The tavern is immediately inside, on the left, directly across from the building owned by Gomez. You can usually find Bullit there during the day and early evening, often with a drink.

However, if you’re working on the “Bully for Bullit” quest from Syra, his nighttime routine is what really matters. Around late evening to after midnight, Bullit leaves the barracks. He meanders a bit before setting off.

  • Bullit walks out through the North Gate.
  • From there, he heads to the river on the right side of the bridge outside the Old Camp.
  • You’ll find him standing in the water, drunk and holding liquor, roughly 30 meters down the riverbank on the right-hand side.

This riverside location is perfect for the ‘Bully for Bullit’ quest – it’s where you’re meant to confront him. It’s also a good spot to deal with him if you have a personal issue, as you won’t be interrupted by any guards.

Bullit in Quests and Why He Matters

I have to say, Bullit is way more than just some random guy you pass by in the game. He actually kicks off a really important quest early on – it’s called “Bully for Bullit,” and honestly, after dealing with his attitude, it feels so good to finally get to take him down a peg. He’s become my favorite person to punch, seriously!

Syra, the castle cook, needs your help. She’s being bothered by someone named Bullit and wants you to deal with the situation – though she doesn’t want him killed. You basically have two choices about how to proceed…

  • Confront Bullit in the Tavern: You can confront Bullit inside the castle tavern, but if you start a fight there, the other guards will step in to defend him. This is the harder approach and usually isn’t worth the trouble early on.
  • Catch him drunk by the river: After midnight, leave the castle and head out through the North Gate. Stay on the right-hand riverbank instead of crossing the bridge. Once you find Bullit, you can knock him out and loot his body for a Battlesword and some Ore Nuggets.

Afterward, return to Syra in the castle and tell her Bullit won’t be bothering her anymore. You’ll receive XP, and depending on your broader quest progression, this may also help unlock her cooperation.
