The biggest night in music is ready to hit all the right notes.
The nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards were revealed on November 7th by a group of artists, featuring Brandi Carlile, Nicole Scherzinger, and Doechii. Kendrick Lamar is the frontrunner with nine nominations for his album, GNX, including bids for Record of the Year and Album of the Year, promising a spectacular 68th annual ceremony.
Lady Gaga is a major contender at the upcoming awards show, receiving seven nominations for her album Mayhem, including a nomination for Album of the Year and her first ever nod for Best Dance-Pop Recording. Bad Bunny is also in the running with six nominations for DebĂ Tirar MĂĄs Fotos, and is also up for Album of the Year.
The Grammy nominations are competitive this year with artists like Jelly Roll, SZA, and Sabrina Carpenter all in the running. However, some expected names were missing from the list. Lorde didn’t receive any nominations for her album Virgin, and Miley Cyrus only received one nomination for Something Beautiful in the Best Pop Vocal Album category.
Everyone loves the movie KPop Demon Hunters, and the fictional Kpop group featured in it, HUNTR/X, has achieved something amazing: a nomination for Song of the Year with their hit, “Golden.” They’re the first K-pop group to ever be nominated in this category, and only the second fictional group to do so â the first was The Chipmunks back in 1959!
Many were surprised that Taylor Swift’s new album, Life of a Showgirl, didn’t receive any nominations. However, the album was released on October 3rd, after the eligibility period for the awards ended on August 30th, 2025, making the lack of nominations understandable.
It seems another major artist isn’t included this year. Similar to Taylor Swift, BeyoncĂ©’s new album, Cowboy Carter, wasn’t selected. However, BeyoncĂ© did attend and enjoy the event last year, and even danced!

As a longtime observer of style and success, I have to say, BeyoncĂ©’s recent Grammys win was truly special! Not only did she make history â racking up an incredible 35 Grammys and solidifying her place as the most awarded artist ever â but sharing that moment with her daughter, Blue Ivy, as they accepted Album of the Year was incredibly moving. It was a beautiful reflection on her amazing journey and a truly full-circle moment for such a legendary artist.
She expressed feeling incredibly grateful and humbled. “Itâs been a long time coming,” she said, and went on to thank the Grammys, as well as everyone who contributed to her work â the songwriters, collaborators, and producers â for all their dedication and effort.
BeyoncĂ©, who is also a mother to 8-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir Carter, ended her inspiring message with a hopeful note: “I hope we just keep pushing forward, opening doors.”
Now, keep reading to see all of the snubs and surprises from the 2026 Grammy nominations.

The singer behind the hit song “Diet Pepsi” went from creating videos on TikTok to receiving a nomination for Best New Artist.

It’s interesting â this artist is being recognized as one of the best new faces in music, which is fantastic! But you know, sometimes even incredibly catchy songs like his hit, “Ordinary,” can get overlooked during awards season. It just goes to show how subjective things can be, and that a great song doesn’t always guarantee a nomination.

Ever since its release on Netflix in August, the song “Golden” has become incredibly popular and catchy, earning it a nomination for Song of the Year.
The band HUNTR/X is making history as the first K-pop group to be nominated for a Grammy in their category. They’re only the second fictional group ever to receive a nomination, following The Chipmunks in 1959.

Justin Bieberâs return to making music has been incredibly successful. His recent album, SWAG, received three award nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
This nomination follows his previous one in 2023, when he was up for Best Music Film for Justin Bieber.

The singer behind “Look At That Woman” didn’t receive any Grammy nominations, and it appears she was also out of wine.

Everyone anticipated that the artist known as Far Fetched would receive several nominations for his album, Mutt. However, he’s unique among the Best New Artist nominees because he’s also been nominated in one of the four major categories â Album, Record, Song, or Artist.
Ariana Grande, who has already received six nominations, is also up for Album of the Year, as well as four R&B awards: Best R&B Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best R&B Album.

Although the artist behind “Beautiful Things” experienced a remarkably successful year with his album American Heart, it wasn’t nominated for any Grammy Awards.
