Gran Turismo 7’s New Hypercars and Le Mans Racing Event Arrive Today

Polyphony Digital surprised fans at the Gran Turismo World Series 2026 by announcing new hypercars for Gran Turismo 7, which are launching today at 11 PM PDT. A new trailer showing all four hypercars, plus the 911 Turbo S Safety Car, is available to watch below.

The featured hypercars are the 2023 Ferrari 499P, the 2025 Peugeot 9X8, the 2024 Porsche 963, and the BMW M Hybrid V8. To make the Le Mans event even bigger, five new races have been added to the World Circuit, including the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans track.

Not sure which car to drive first? The PlayStation Blog has a quick five-question quiz to help you decide. If you prefer accuracy, timing, and the feel of a professional racing team, the Ferrari 499P is a great pick. For those who like to drive with a lot of force and power, the BMW M Hybrid V8 is the way to go. And if you value staying controlled and focused, the Safety Car is waiting for you.

The update also includes driving challenges for each new vehicle. While not the largest content release for Gran Turismo 7, Update 1.70 is highly anticipated by fans of Le Mans. Polyphony Digital is continuing to support the game with future updates, so keep an eye out for more details.
