Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok open beta test set for April 24 to 27

Cygames and Cygames Osaka are letting players try out the upcoming game Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok in an open beta test from April 24th to 27th.

Here are the details:

■ About the Open Beta

This beta is a chance for you to try out our new Summon feature and help us make sure everything runs smoothly before the full game release. We’ll be checking how well the game performs online, if all the features work as expected, and fixing any bugs we find. After you play, please take a few minutes to fill out a short survey – your feedback is really valuable to us!

Since this game is still being developed, what you see in the open beta might not be exactly the same as the final released version. You may experience some problems like bugs, connection difficulties, or the game freezing or crashing. We appreciate your patience and understanding!

How to Participate

The beta is now available to everyone playing on our supported devices. Just download the game from your platform’s store and start playing when the beta officially launches!

  • PlayStation 5
  • Switch 2
  • PlayStation 4
  • PC (Steam)

Preloading begins on April 23, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. UTC.

Open beta begins on April 24, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. UTC.

If you previously signed up for the closed beta, you can now join the open beta by downloading the update. To play on Nintendo Switch 2, you’ll need a Nintendo Switch Online membership. A PlayStation Plus subscription isn’t needed to play on PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4. If you’re playing on Steam, make sure you have the Steam client installed.

Playable Content

  • Tutorial Mode
  • Quest Mode (four available)

During the open beta, you can play through Tutorial Mode and Quest Mode. All quests in Quest Mode support online multiplayer, and local wireless play is available on Switch 2. Quest Mode features the same three quests as the closed beta. Completing these three quests unlocks the new Summon mechanic, which can then be used in a fourth, newly added quest. If you played the closed beta, your quest progress will transfer to the open beta, but your gear and party setup will not.

New Feature: Summons

Summons let players call on powerful abilities to turn the tables in combat, and you can now try them out in the open beta.

Using Summons:

  • First, equip summons from the main menu to use them in battle.
  • Then, while questing, use link attacks or Skybound Arts to fill the summon gauge, which is shared by the whole party.
  • Once filled, call your summon to wreak devastation with your favorite civilian, monstrous, or primal allies!

Primal Burst:

  • Entering link time will cause Lyria to begin channeling a primal burst.
  • Afterward, when all members of the party use their Skybound Arts to trigger a full burst, Lyria will follow up with the primal burst.

During the open beta test, players can use six different summons. Keep in mind that the game is still being developed, so these summons might function differently in the final version. You’ll find quests where summons are permitted are clearly marked as “Summons Allowed” in the quest overview. Currently, summons are only available in the “Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer” quest. This quest unlocks after you’ve finished the other three. Please note that the screenshots you see are from the PlayStation 5 version of the game.

Local Wireless Play (Switch 2 Only)

Okay, so I’m checking out the specs for the Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok open beta, and here’s what I’ve found. Keep in mind these could change, and the final game might be different! For the Switch 2, you’ll need at least 10GB of free space. If you’re playing on PlayStation 5, you’re looking at 21GB. And for PlayStation 4 owners, it’s 11GB minimum. Just wanted to share in case you’re wondering if your system can handle it!

Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok will be released on July 9th for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and PC (through Steam).
