The popular show ‘The Game’ is officially coming back for a second season on channel 5 later this year, and production has already begun.
Familiar faces Jason Watkins (from McDonald & Dodds) and Robson Green (from Grantchester) will be back for the new season, alongside returning cast members Sunetra Sarker (Casualty), Indy Lewis (Industry), and Amber James (Heartstopper).
Season two picks up a year after the events of the first season. Huw, a former detective who survived a violent stabbing, thinks he’s finally moved on from the trauma caused by serial killer Patrick, who is now incarcerated.
Huw and his wife, Alice, move to a remote seaside house hoping to escape the trauma they’ve experienced and start a peaceful new life. However, he quickly discovers that true peace is harder to find than he thought.

To celebrate the beginning of filming, some behind-the-scenes photos have been released, featuring Watkins returning to their role.

He expressed his enthusiasm for beginning work on the second season of The Game. He described the character Huw as having faced many difficulties and said those challenges will continue in the new season, adding that he’s eager to explore what’s next for him.

Green shared his enthusiasm for the second series of The Game, calling it a thrilling challenge. He hinted that Patrick will return with even more cunning plans, promising viewers another fantastic experience.
